Ahmadi received her BS and MS degrees both from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2008 and 2010 respectively. She then moved to USA and joined Prof. Mishra’s group at UC Santa Barbara in 2010, where she worked on epitaxial growth and characterization of GaN-based electronic devices. After earning her PhD degree in 2015, she started her postdoctoral research in Prof. Speck’s group working on epitaxial growth and characterization of Ga2O3 devices. She joined the University of Michigan as an Assistant Professor in Jan 2018. She received AFOSR YIP and ONR YIP awards in 2020 and NSF CAREER award and DARPA Young Faculty Award in 2021.
Research Interests: Epitaxial growth and characterization of III-N and Oxide semiconductors for electronic, optoelectronic, and MEMs applications. Design, fabrication and characterization of novel (ultra)wide bandgap devices for high power and high frequency applications.
