Graduate Students

Subhajit Mohanty received his B.Tech. and M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) India in 2016. He received his master’s degree in Microelectronics and VLSI. He is currently pursuing is a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan and his research is focused on simulation, fabrication, and characterization of N-polar GaN HEMTs. He joined the group in the Fall of 2018.

Zhuoqun Wen received his B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY, USA. He is currently pursuing a PhD in MSE department at the University of Michigan and his research is focused on epitaxial growth and characterization of (Al,Ga)2O3 films and heterostructures. He joined the group in the winter of 2021.

Ruby Wellen received her B.S. from Purdue University in 2020. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, and her research is focused on MBE growth and characterization of nitrides. She joined the group in the Fall of 2020.

Xin Zhai received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2020. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan and his research is focused on fabrication and characterization of Ga2O3 diodes and transistors. He joined the group in the Fall of 2020.

Irfan Khan received his BS and MS in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017 and 2020, respectively. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan and his research is focused on MBE growth and characterization of N-polar HEMT structures. He joined the group in the Fall of 2021.

Oguz Odabasi received his dual bachelor’s degree in both Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering and MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Bilkent University in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan and his research is focused on Fabrication and characterization of N-polar high electron mobility transistors. He joined the group in the Fall of 2021.
