Kamruzzaman Khan received his B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka in 2012. He worked in industry as instrumentation and control engineer for two years. Then he moved to the University of Toledo, Ohio in 2014 and his M.S. thesis on NiOx based device structures. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering (MSE) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He joined the group in the winter of 2018. He is currently working on epitaxial growth of InGaN by plasma-assisted MBE for high-frequency and high-power electronic devices.
Ashley Jian received her B.S. in Optoelectronics at Beihang University, China in 2017. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan, and her research is focused on Gallium Oxide vertical devices for high power applications. She joined the group in the winter of 2018.
Sandra Diez Pinzon received her B.S. in Physics in 2012 from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, where she had the opportunity to work with the Thin Film Group and did research on magnetic materials and interfacial effects . After graduation, she went to California State University Long Beach where she performed research in condensed matter physics, and graduated with a M.S. in Physics in 2016. She joined the group in the spring of 2018. Nowadays, Sandra works on the MBE growth and characterization of N-polar GaN HEMT structures at the University of Michigan, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Physics.
Subhajit Mohanty received his B.Tech. and M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) India in 2016. He received his master’s degree in Microelectronics and VLSI. His research interests include simulation, fabrication, and characterization of N-polar GaN HEMT devices. He joined the group in the Fall of 2018.
Zhuoqun Wen received his B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY, USA. He joined the MSE department at U-M as a PhD student in the Fall of 2020. He joined the group in the winter of 2021. His research is focused on epitaxial growth and characterization of (Al,Ga)2O3 films and heterostructures.
Ruby Wellen received her B.S. from Purdue University in 2020. She joined U-M as a masters student in the fall of 2020. She is working on MBE growth and characterization of nitrides.
Xin Zhai received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2020. He joined U-M as a master student and the group in the Fall of 2020. his project is focused on fabrication and characterization of Ga2O3 diodes and transistors.
